Happy Friday, loves! 💛 Following up on the Volley Fresh I unboxed earlier and I finally tried it, and I paired it with Kho Trey, aka ខត្រី (caramelized mackerel)… and wow, what a match.

Honestly, this canned cocktail surprised me. Not sweet at all and just clean. Real ingredients, no “natural flavors” as a catch-all, no additives hiding behind a wellness aesthetic. Additive-free blanco tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, organic juice never from concentrate, sparkling water. That’s the whole list. Breckenridge Bourbon hits different. Distilled at 9,600 feet with Rocky Mountain snowmelt, it brings a smooth kick you actually taste. I threw it into my crafted ‘spicy cucumber cocktail’ and that high‑rye spice snapped right through and perfect balance.

Before I dive in, I just want to ❤️ thank Double Neat for sending over their Bourbon Brownies. They were super moist, the bourbon flavor really came through, and pairing it with PENELOPE Bourbon was phenomenal.
