Priscilla Block found herself asking a powerful question: why wait for someone else to believe in a dream she already believed in herself?

In her statement, she described reaching a crossroads. She could keep waiting for things to change—or choose to take a chance on herself and the people who had supported her from the very beginning.

She also admitted something surprising: confidence was never something she struggled with, but along the way, she realized she had started to lose some of that belief in herself.

At just 17, Priscilla moved to Nashville with only $50 and began building her audience on her own, long before a record label came along. Her song “Just About Over You” later went platinum and reached No. 1 on two charts within a single day.

Lainey Wilson believes our thoughts can shape the life we end up living—even when those thoughts aren’t true.

She explained that when we allow thousands of negative or untrue ideas to take over our minds, they can slowly create a reality built around fear and worry. Before long, life can begin to look like the very things we’ve been afraid of.

She described that as terrifying: where you place your attention can influence the direction of your life.

But Lainey also shared an important reminder—you can take control of your thoughts. You don’t have to become a prisoner of your own mind. You have a choice in what you allow through the gate.

Referencing the Bible, she said the mind can be transformed through renewal. And for her, that means continuing to renew her thoughts, again and again. 🙏✨

🏆 The “Career Maker Award” honors someone who may not write the songs, but helped turn songwriters into stars.

Reba McEntire received the honor in 2018, and no one had been added to the list since—until now. George Strait makes it two.

The numbers tell an incredible story: Strait has recorded 264 songs written by 72 members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Even more remarkable, 44 of those writers had not yet been inducted when Strait recorded their songs. He was discovering their talent before the industry officially recognized them.

The song plays out like a quiet conversation between a wife and the other woman — no screaming, no insults, just two women facing the same situation.

That calm approach was exactly what Reba wanted to capture when she recorded it again. She told Billboard that her 1990s version with Linda Davis felt much more like a full-on catfight. But singing it with Dolly brought an entirely different energy.

Reba described their version as a confrontation “on Valium” — controlled, mature, and surprisingly calm.

It sounds less like two rivals fighting and more like two grown women simply talking things through: I know you, you know me. I don’t want him. Do you want him? If so, you can have him.
There is tension, but Reba said there was no hatred behind it.

Reba and Dolly shared decades in country music, yet somehow never recorded a duet together until 2021. ❤️🎶

Reba once talked about how surprising that was. After all those years in the same industry, they had performed for each other and admired one another’s music, but had never put their voices together on a single track. So when Dolly agreed, Reba said she was absolutely thrilled.

For their collaboration, they went back to one of Reba’s classics: “Does He Love You.” Originally recorded with Linda Davis in 1993, the song reached No. 1 and earned a Grammy.

Producer Dave Cobb gave the new version a stripped-down approach, letting the power of Reba and Dolly’s voices take center stage.

And there’s one more interesting detail: they didn’t record it in the same room. Their vocals were recorded separately, and the two legends finally came together for the music video. 🤠❤️

🔥 LAINEY WILSON IS BACK IN THE CMA HOSTING CHAIR! 🤠🏆

After taking home the 2025 Entertainer of the Year award, Lainey Wilson is returning to host the CMA Awards — and she’ll be heading into the big night with three nominations of her own! 🎶✨

The Country Music Association confirmed that Wilson will host the 60th Annual CMA Awards on November 18 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. This will be her third consecutive year as host and her second year hosting the ceremony on her own.

This year, Wilson is nominated for: 🏆 Entertainer of the Year
🏆 Female Vocalist of the Year
🏆 Single of the Year for “Somewhere Over Laredo”
That brings her career total to 28 CMA nominations.

Her 2025 night was unforgettable, with Wilson taking home three trophies — Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year for Whirlwind, and Female Vocalist of the Year. ❤️

Now she’ll have a unique night ahead: hosting country music’s biggest awards show while waiting to find out whether she’ll add another CMA trophy to her collection.

Chris Stapleton delivered a powerful moment at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 16, helping bring four original surviving members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers back together onstage for the first time since 2002. 🎸🔥

Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch, and Ron Blair joined Stapleton for “American Girl” during the Americana Honors & Awards, then followed it with another Petty favorite, “Breakdown.”

The reunion was especially meaningful because Stan Lynch had left the Heartbreakers in 1994. His last performance with Petty, Campbell, Tench, and Blair was at the band’s 2002 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Later in the night, Steve Ferrone and Scott Thurston joined them for “You Wreck Me,” while the Heartbreakers received the Americana Lifetime Achievement Award. 🏆

Stapleton was a natural fit for the tribute. He had opened for Tom Petty’s 2017 tour and later recorded “I Should Have Known It” for the 2024 tribute album Petty Country.

One unforgettable night brought together generations of American music—and gave fans a rare chance to see these Heartbreakers share the stage again. ❤️🎶
