Official Trailer:
To mark the 100 year anniversary of the Red Summer race riots four artists set out on a tour across North America, traveling to 27 cities in 33 days. Their goal was to share their artistic gifts of hip hop, restorative justice peace circles, streetwear, and coloring book sessions to promote their beliefs of peace, inclusion, and truth.
Featuring freestyle and live performances by Heavy Crownz and The Honorable Hakim Dough as well as footage filmed by photographer Paris Williams capturing peace circles held by Mashaun Ali Hendricks. Red Summer Project is an authentic documentary film experience that shows us what is possible when surrendering to serendipity and setting out to make a difference.
We will be dropping a new episode from the series each week. Join and follow the movement, and tell us what you think in the comments!
