Apply now for CNBC Business Journalism Workshop at EIJ

Companies, markets, the economy, and politics are all interconnected and have tremendous influence on people’s lives and money. Business news relies on real-time data analysis and clear communication to decode and define a story’s immediate and future impact on business and society.

This summer, CNBC is hosting an invitation-only workshop at the Excellence in Journalism 2017 Conference designed to educate aspiring journalists about the fundamental values of world-class business journalism and demonstrate the underlying strategies that define and differentiate CNBC in the marketplace.

Some workshop attendees who have a bachelor’s degree may be selected at the end of the workshop for an opportunity interview at CNBC Global Headquarters for the CNBC Business News Associate Program.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

· A panel of seasoned CNBC professionals describing their roles at the network and sharing the guiding principles and best practices that influence their work as business journalists
· An interactive, breaking news simulation designed to teach the concepts, skills, and techniques CNBC professionals utilize daily to break down complex information about business, markets, and the economy
· Individual interviews with CNBC professionals

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

This workshop is targeted toward the Class of 2017 and recent college graduates. Applicants must be registered for the 2017 Excellence in Journalism Conference in Anaheim, CA (registration is subject to verification).
