V2 update
Back in the 1980s, during Ronald Reagan's presidency, a significant anti-nuclear protest took place in Lafayette Park, directly across from the White House. The park was filled with around a hundred tents. Eventually, the protest was consolidated to a single, continuous demonstration, with the stipulation that a protester had to be present 24/7 to prevent the tent from being removed.
Decades later, when I heard Trump mention this on a Friday night, I felt compelled to go down and get a final picture of this tent before its removal. I arrived around 7 PM, recorded a few shots, and then waited to see what would happen. The park is now closed. More updates will follow later at: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rZzHuYvPo8zry1xo6

16 August 2025-Washington DC-1900; the weather is perfect and all is quiet. At least the tourist locations, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument World War ll memorial, White House area. I ran into the national guard and FBI at these locations and I’ll post the updates above link…

According to President Trump, she is going to make big news today. My sources tell me it was an NPR radio reporter and that sometimes the president leans into the press to hear the question. It’s very stressful when you’ve got to perform multiple tasks and are afraid of missing the audio. It is easy to lose attention to where the microphone is located. I'm sure she was mortified and scared to death of the repercussions.

2010- During Obama's presidency, White House meetings with the Dalai Lama were low-key to appease China. This included private settings, limited public appearances, and backdoor exits. This balanced US values with the need for diplomatic relations with China.
