May 2015, a surveillance camera installed inside the underground parking level of a private residential complex quietly recorded what appeared to be routine late-night activity. Residents entering and exiting the building after hours was common, and like thousands of similar recordings, the footage was automatically archived as part of the property’s standard security monitoring system. For years, the file remained untouched. Nearly seven years later, during a routine review while upgrading the building’s storage system, technicians noticed something unusual — the same two individuals appearing in the footage on multiple nights. One would enter through a stairwell access point, while the other arrived minutes later from a different entrance. Their movements seemed carefully timed, usually taking place late in the evening when the building was quiet. At the time, nothing about the recordings raised concern. But when viewed together years later, the pattern became clear. What once looked like ordinary movement through a quiet parking structure had been silently documented the entire time by a camera that never stopped recording.
