✨🌎 TWO PLANETS ARE PUTTING ON A SHOW TONIGHT.

Last night, an incredible photograph captured the rare Venus–Jupiter conjunction above Stonehenge — and an unexpected meteor streaking across the sky made the scene even more extraordinary.

But the real show is happening tonight.

As darkness falls, Venus and Jupiter will appear astonishingly close together, separated by only about 1.6 degrees — close enough to fit behind your pinky finger held at arm's length.

No telescope.

No special app.

No dark-sky destination.

Just clear skies and a look toward the western horizon around 45 minutes after sunset.

🌟🌟

The brighter object is Venus.

The slightly dimmer one beside it is Jupiter — a giant so enormous that every other planet in our solar system could fit inside it.

Moments like this don't happen often.

After tonight, skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere will have to wait more than two years for these two worlds to appear this close again.

Two planets.

One sky.

And a few peaceful minutes that remind us how incredible the universe really is.

A humpback whale opening its massive mouth to engulf an entire school of fish beneath the ocean surface 💙🐋 This underwater documentary moment captures one of the most dramatic feeding behaviors in the marine world lunge feeding in the open ocean. Filmed in murky blue-green water filled with marine snow, suspended particles, drifting debris, and natural underwater haze, thousands of fish scatter in every direction as the whale surges upward through the water column with its mouth fully expanded. Humpback whales feed by accelerating toward dense schools of fish or krill before opening their mouths wide enough to engulf huge volumes of prey-filled water in a single movement. Their expandable throat pleats allow them to temporarily hold enormous amounts of water before filtering food through specialized baleen plates. The movement feels explosive but biologically natural. Fish flash and scatter through the haze while drifting particles and turbulence create the chaotic underwater atmosphere real divers experience during active feeding events beneath the surface. Unlike cinematic depictions, real underwater visibility remains soft and limited. Suspended particles continuously move through the frame while underwater diffusion softens edges and detail throughout the scene. The camera reacts naturally with slight instability and buoyancy sway as the whale rises nearby, creating the immersive feeling of witnessing one of the ocean’s largest predators feeding in the wild. 🌊
