Appreciate the journey, not just the destinationš
Itās so important to remember that your goals can change over time! My goals on the left were to be āleanā and strong (while I was primarily only realistically fueling my body enough to be lean). Fast forward to today, my goals are focused on being healthy, getting stronger, reducing flareups for POTS, and focusing on my mental healthš
While both versions of me may not align with my current self, I look back and appreciate both and the progress both Jenās made in those periods of my life.
The takeaway is: do what you need to do for your current self. If that means trying a new sport or form of exercise, slowing down and finding your balance, or recovery. Not everything that your favorite social media fitness influencer is doing is a good fit for everyoneš
Also, a friendly reminder that the people you see on social media who may have your ādreamā body may not always be the healthiest or they may be altering their pictures/videos (a conversation for another time)š
