According to Tucker Carlson, an informed federal official says the Trump administration plans to send 40,000 Mark 84 and Blu-117 bombs to the government of Israel.

"An American-made Mark 84 has a destruction radius of half a mile."

According to Carlson, only four more people need to sign-off before the bombs are sent to the Israeli government, all four are neocons:

Senator Jim Risch
Senator Jeanne Shaheen
Congressman Brian Mast
Congressman Gregory Meeks

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent predicted earlier in September that the Strait of Hormuz would be irrelevant to the oil trade in two years because overland pipelines will bypass the Persian Gulf chokepoint. In light of the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline, Bessent’s prediction is already aging like spoiled milk.

Bessent first made the prediction in August and then doubled down at the G20 finance ministers’ meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.

“In two years, the Strait of Hormuz will be … a worthless piece of water,” he told Fox Business’ Larry Kudlow on Sept. 1, adding oil “will be going on pipelines across land” and therefore diminishing Iran’s leverage.

But the Houthis’ recent drone strikes on the Saudi pipeline show that a world in which the Strait of Hormuz is completely “worthless” might be much harder to realize.

The Houthis executed a 36-hour offensive, capturing around 2,000 square kilometers of territory, including key coastal areas along the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a vital maritime corridor for trade and oil.

Microsoft AI (MAI) published a draft code of conduct for its models Monday and opened a six-week public consultation on rules to prevent AI from resisting human input, according to the company’s announcement of the draft. The company emphasized the need for “Humanist AI” that subordinates to humans after AI agents planned several recent hacking incidents.

The company’s draft explains that this AI should drive technological innovation as it aids in the flourishing of humanity, according to the draft. The technology must be rejected if humans are unable to maintain control of it, according to the code of conduct draft’s “Objectives of Humanist AI” section.

“AI should not exceed human control. Models should remain subordinate to humanity, subject to meaningful human oversight and control,” the draft states. “For MAI Models, this means they should not assist or perform actions that could result in the clear real-world harms … No User or Operator can override these safety constraints.”
