The HEATWAVE is driving up power demand? Don't blame Mother Nature for the government's ignorance. Take a look at what the Texas governing bodies have allowed to happen. Overpopulation is a worldly issue, but it's nationally known that the greedy politicians in Texas want their hands in EVERYONE'S pockets. So, they allow EVERYONE (individuals, families, companies, etc) to relocate here, and THAT drives up the demand for EVERYTHING! All the while, not upgrading "the grid" to be able to handle the extra abuse all these damn yankees are adding to it. More than 885,000 moved to Texas in the last decade. In 2019 alone, more than 559,000! In 2021, Texas saw the largest annual population gain of any state with more than 170,000 people relocating there from other parts of the country. It's ridiculous!

In Austin, the temperature will come close to the all-time July record for the hottest temperature ever recorded in the city. Texas' power grid operator is asking the state to conserve.
