Taking a short break from the 'Cursed' lot trait today to talk about something that always brings my moodlets back to green: building and inspiration! 🗺️🎬

Where do you get your biggest bursts of inspiration for building or gameplay in The Sims 4?

As you already know, my absolute favorite thing to do is bringing real-world logic into the game by converting TS4 worlds into real-life locations on a massive US map. But that’s not my only source of ideas!

I often find myself inspired by pop culture. I love recreating places and characters from my favorite movies and TV shows—like building the iconic Wisteria Lane and bringing the desperate housewives to life! 🏡🍎

Lately, I’ve also been getting a massive itch to build after playing House Flipper 2. The flipping and renovating vibes there are so satisfying that I immediately want to jump back into The Sims and recreate those floor plans!

But what about you?

Do you scroll through Pinterest for hours? Do you look at architectural magazines, recreate your own neighborhood, or does inspiration just hit you randomly in the middle of the night?

Do you also sometimes feel like a Sim whose queue of actions keeps getting cancelled, and all your motives are permanently in the red? 🛑

This year, I've had some serious bad luck – it feels like someone activated the "Cursed" lot trait on my apartment and just forgot about it:

• A migraine flare-up – so severe that I can't function normally because it lasts for days and the pain is usually around 6-7/10, but even more severe.

• A neighbor flooded my apartment.

• I failed my editing and proofreading course – I mean, I didn't fail it, I can finish it, but as long as my headaches are so frequent, I can't. I didn't take an exam for the same reason (it's optional).

• For a year now, the building we live in has been undergoing renovations. We're held hostage by a contractor who does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, which could mean we lose EU funding.

• My daughter had anaphylactic shock two weeks ago.

• I can't stand the heat – today, for example, it's 30°C. That's not normal temperature where I live (I live in a temperate climate), so I avoid leaving the house, and that's all I get from the summer.

• And today, the electrical system shorted out – probably due to flooding 3.5 months ago. Although I initially thought my washing machine had broken down, and it's good news that it wasn't, it's just too much.

• I started this fan page and I can't post anything because I constantly have a headache. When it stops, I quickly try to catch up on things around the house, then it hurts again, and it's just a vicious cycle.

Honestly, it feels like the player controlling my life deleted the pool ladder and left me there. I know nothing lasts forever and no negative moodlet lasts for good, but when will this season finally end? 😶...
