This song is sets the scene of Atlantic St SE, a very, how can you say it, “busy” street in Southeast, Washington, DC. The intersection at South Capitol Street SE, in particular. I drive by it all the time. It’s rough but has character. Sometimes I see the stories. Not just of the individuals but of the place itself. I know that corner has seen a lot. With this song, I wrote it to set the scene of what goes on there.

This song pays tribute to my older brother ‘Lil Quentin, who was murdered back in ‘99. He was fearless and that’s what he instilled in me. I reflected on his life and how his tragedy gave mine meaning. To honor him, we shot this music video in the same building he lived in, Carriage Hill 3404.

I also reflected on a previous relationship I was in, where another person’s fear was projected on me. I faced all of that; determined to find the courage I lost.
