Unfortunately not everything works out perfect in the bow hunting world. It takes 100% of everything to go right and when you only have 99 this is the result. This is why I love bow hunting. I have been chasing this deer for awhile now. Over the past couple of weeks I have been pushing in deeper and deeper on him. Last night was my night when I pulled him off of a doe. Stuck one in him at 25. No string jump at all. Shot looked great, low, but almost perfect. Lack of pe*******on concerned me. Waited 1.5 hours and then went to look. Could tell almost immediately he wasn’t a dead deer. Little blood to a lot of blood to no blood. Only had the blood trail for 100 yards. After replaying everything 100 times and finding my arrow with the broadhead broke off came to the conclusion that it was a brisket shot. Just low of every vital. This deer will live and be fine. He has went from #2 on my hit list to #1. Time to do some more homework and re-pattern him out. Again, this is why I love bow hunting.
