Nothing refreshes the spirit like making time to spend with family. My aunt is 96 years old, lives alone, cooks and cleans in her immaculate home. It was great to see her and reminisce! San Francisco is a delightful place!

On this year's SXM vacation, I enjoyed time with locals friends Rudy and Qwaylo, had conch for the first time (tender, savory and scrumptious), and explored trails. It was too cloudy, windy and rainy for the beach, but I enjoyed the ocean anyway! Next time in paradise I plan to do a motorboat ride around the island with Alvin!

Attending the Licensing Expo, for the first time, has been an informative and affirming experience. Excellent content from expert panelists and networking with business minded IP creators is rewarding. Exploring the mutually beneficial relationships between licensee and licensor was the focus. #

Joy and gratitude ruled my niece's graduation from Howard Univ. It was an uplifting and poignant experience to witness how both my niece and school have grown and blossomed. This was the largest graduating class in Howard's 156 year history! Congratulations Michaela!

It feels bittersweet and joyous to see my youngest niece graduating this year. The HU swim team honored senior students, and it was fun for family supporting them.

Any day above ground is cause for celebration and gratitude!

On this 61st anniversary of my birth, I reflect on youthful energy and how much I enjoyed spending time this past year socializing with my nieces and their friends, I reveled in their brilliance, optimism, idealism, and positive expectancy. All were eager and empowered as they embarked upon adulthood. They gave me hope for the future!

Scenes from the National Museum of African American History and Culture for the 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Block Party. The theme of this year's gathering was women in Hip-Hop. Queen Latifah was a surprise guest, but MuMu Fresh, Monie Love, and Remy Ma also shared their gift. Remaining open to new experiences is vital. Out of 50 years of hip-hop music, many songs performed were unknown to me. A good time was had by all.

Music is universal. It is a creative expression we all have in common and is a unifying factor for humanity.

What kind of music have you recently been listening to? On my Playlist, African Electronic Dance Music and Arabic Club Music have been very energizing!
