The Record is published every week and on an Internet website. It serves the villages of Romeo and Armada as well as the townships of Armada, Bruce, Ray and Washington as well as surrounding areas. The Record publishes with these four basic principles in mind:

- The public wants information and a voice,
- People and institutions within a community need a venue to effectively promote pro

jects and programs,
- Agencies that serve the public must communicate
- And businesses must have a place to advertise. To accomplish the principles, The Record offers a variety of news and editorial coverage along with advertising products. News and editorial coverage includes:

- Local news stories
- Human interest stories
- News of local celebrations such as engagements, weddings, births, anniversaries, milestone birthdays and reunions
- Police and fire news roundups
- Obituaries
- Local sports stories
- Church, social organizations and club news
- A calendar of local events
- Letters to the editor as well as opinion and editorial columns
- Features such as a local history column, crossword puzzle, local recipes and other items of broad interest
