Nothing sets the tone for a beautiful day like a sunrise that turns the world into shades of cotton candy pink. What a gift to capture this on my Canon R camera with a Tamron Americas lens.

Sometimes, the journey doesn't take you where you planned, but exactly where you need to be. Our original peak remains a challenge for another day, as we make camp tonight in the ethereal blue hour of the Chugach range. The sun gently bows out, painting a blush of pink in the sky before giving way to a burgeoning field of stars. They slowly make their appearance, adding an otherworldly charm to the Alaskan night. There's Max, fearlessly exploring the edge of our world, the soft glow from his headlamp a lighthouse in the cosmic sea. The vast mountain ranges may determine our paths, but we create our own destinations. Here's to unexpected stops, uncharted trails, and the beauty of the night.
