Visit Upland Hills Farm in Oxford on weekends during October and help raise money for OUCARES! Simply complete a participant donation form at the entrance gate and part of your normal entrance fee will go to OUCARES! Pick pumpkins, drink cider, go on a hayride, and have a great time. LETS GET TOGETHER!!! I have tried this in the past without much luck, but I am hoping for a different outcome this time. I would like to start a monthly group where parents can get together and vent, brag, listen, and eat. The life of a parent with a child on the spectrum can be lonely and stressful. And who knows that better than other ASD parents. I know there are parents, grandparents, teachers and other organizations that have "liked" this page but I would like to extend the invitation of our first meeting to just family members of someone on the spectrum. If you are interested in getting together, please reply to this post and I will put a list together for a formal invitation. I will start!!

HI EVERYONE!!! I bet you all thought I fell off the face of the earth but here I am!! I have had a crazy 6 months but I am ready to start planning get togethers. SOOOO..... what works best for you all? I am available during the day while the kiddos are at school as well as in the evening. And I do not mind hosting get togethers both times if both are needed. So let me know if you are interested in meeting around the 2nd week of November.... evening or day time preference.

Today is my first IEP of the Spring, which made me think of all of you going through the same thing. Remember to stay positive, do not get overwhelmed, take one step at a time, and remember this is your opportunity to share with the entire team your concerns and to put a plan into action!!!
