Three of the biggest names in street car drag racing event promotion will be joining forces for a massive show at Beech Bend Raceway, Kentucky with the running of the first ever Speedfest presented by Sick The Magazine, Street Car Takeover and Street Car Braggin Rights.
For three days from May 28-30 2026, the fastest street cars in the nation will be descending on Bowling Green for a showcase event. A party atmosphere alongside serious horsepower will make this an event not to be missed!
The event will kick off on Thursday, May 28 with tech and testing, providing an early chance to see the action. Racers will be treated to a Thursday night welcome party to meet their fellow competitors and enjoy the family-friendly vibes.
The speed ramps up on Friday where qualifying will take place for over 300 street car monsters, across every discipline from drag and drive to roll racing! The day will wrap up with a free concert and entertainment for racers and fans alike.
Speedfest will then get serious with eliminations on Saturday, building into the huge Speedfest Night of Fire, where fans can expect the greatest spectacle in drag racing, from jet cars and nitro, to pyrotechnics and a live DJ.
Sick The Magazine’s Tom Bailey said he anticipates the event becoming a must-attend on the calendar thanks to the level of collaboration between the nation’s three premier street car series. Each series will bring a highlight list of talent for the best possible show.
“Each series has its own dedicated group of racers so it’s going to be thrilling to bring them all together,” he said. “Street Car Takeover and Street Car Braggin Rights are both very professional and very good at what they do, and we can’t wait to throw the ultimate street car party.”
The Street Car Takeover team were just as thrilled. “Street Car Takeover is excited to have the opportunity to work with two other great promoters,” said Street Car Takeover’s Chase Lautenbach. “When groups like this come together we all win!”
Street Car Braggin Rights’ Nate Prater said Speedfest fits into the vision he had for creating bucket-list races.
“Partnering with two of the biggest names in the sport represents a major milestone,” he said. “We are excited for the opportunities this collaboration will bring and look forward to delivering an epic event.”
Race entries for Speedfest will be strictly limited and will go on sale in January.

Devin Vanderhoof’s new drag and drive Mustang ‘Reddi Whip’ showcased in Holley booth at PRI Show

Less than six months after taking delivery of a 2017 Shelby Mustang from J&E Chassisworks, Devin Vanderhoof rolled a ready-to-run drag and drive ride into the Performance Racing Industry show (PRI), which starts today in Indianapolis.

After receiving the caged-up rolling chassis, Devin along with his team at HCR Innovations devised a plan to finish the ride, which included a trip to Matt at Performance Fab for the finishing fab work, followed by Jake at Tinsley’s Custom Coatings.

After paint, the HCR Innovations crew got to work, installing a new 557 cubic inch Big
Block Chevy from PAR Racing Engines, along with an upgraded set of HPT 94-millimeter turbos, plus the custom wiring and plumbing Devin and crew are known for.

The new car sheds some weight over Devin’s previous Fox platform Mustang, while gaining 8 inches in wheelbase length.

Testing will get underway this month in preparation for the 2026 edition of Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive, held February 1-7, 2026, starting at Gainesville Raceway.
