🏆 Cohoes Student Headed to Nationals 🏆
Big congratulations to April Garneau of Cohoes High School, who will be heading to Columbus, Ohio in just a couple of days to compete for a National Title at the U.S. High School Bowling Championships.
April earned her spot the hard way.
This season she finished 8th out of 54 girls at the State Championships after being named to the Section 2 All-Star Team, which qualified her for nationals. She finished the season with a 197 average
Closer to home, April has also helped lead the Cohoes Tigers girls varsity bowling team to back-to-back Class B titles alongside Alexis Yando, adding another chapter to an already strong run for the program.
What makes this trip a little different is that this is an individual invitation, meaning she’ll be competing without her teammates there beside her. Her family shared with me, that she misses having the team around and all the support they had for one another! so if you know April or just want to support a local student-athlete representing Cohoes on a national stage, take a minute and send some encouragement her way.
She is scheduled to bowl Sunday evening at 7:00 PM in Round 1.
From Cohoes to the National stage!! good luck, April. Bring a little of that Tiger pride with you.
