Bayard Participates in the St. John Bosco Conference at Franciscan University
For the first time, Bayard participated in the St. John Bosco Conference held at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Matt Lekan represented Bayard at the conference, attending as a vendor and promoted several new books, including A New Look at Catechesis Today by Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst.
Bishop Franz-Peter delivered the keynote address on the opening night and celebrated Mass the following day. Ted Musco joined Bishop Franz-Peter and was a welcomed addition to the booth. The Bishop took time to sign his book for attendees as well.
Popular books at the booth included A New Look at Catechesis Today, the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, Faith Talks, Prayers and Easy Activities for Raising Catholic Kids. Free copies of Living with Christ and Living Faith were also in high demand.
The conference drew 360 participants from across the country, including diocesan directors, parish catechetical leaders, and Catholic school teachers. Nearly 80% of attendees were first-time participants, making this a valuable opportunity for Bayard to connect with new audiences and share its mission in faith formation.
