The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging is cancelling all home delivered meal routes today due to inclement weather. Clients should use their emergency frozen meal. If you need a frozen meal, please call 315-386-4730.

MASSENA — Two prominent Massena businesspeople were killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night at the intersection of state Route 310 and County Route 34 in the town of Potsdam.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
up to 16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Southern St. Lawrence and Southern Franklin Counties in
New York.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Areas of blowing snow expected
in parts of northern New York. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very
difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact
parts of southern St. Lawrence and Franklin County's Thursday
morning and evening commutes
