WATERTOWN, NY - Watertown police are currently investigating a serious e-bike accident that occurred in Thompson Park near the golf course parking lot shortly before 5:25 p.m. Saturday.
Initial reports indicated a female victim was unconscious and bleeding excessively at the scene. City firefighters and Guilfoyle Ambulance responded to provide assistance. A request for a medical helicopter was made but later canceled. The injured female was transported to Samaritan Medical Center.
A male on another e-bike also appeared to have sustained injuries in the incident.
Police have blocked off the area surrounding the scene as an evidence technician has been requested to assist with the ongoing investigation. Further details are not yet available.
