Watertown Cable Access Corp

Watertown Cable Access Corp Watertown Cable Access Corp is the cable access provider for Watertown, Massachusetts.

Since 2005, Watertown Cable Access Corp (WCA-TV) has been Watertown's Public, Education, & Government Access (PEG) station. Our mission is to provide coverage of local events, meetings, and news, as well as access to our equipment and facility to engage our community and amplify their voices. Our Public channel consists of community events, news, and locally produced programming. On our Education

channel, you will find school events, sports, library presentations and WHS student produced programming. Our Government channel provides all your gavel to gavel coverage of local municipal meetings, including City Council, School Committee, Zoning Board, and more. WCA-TV also streams online 24/7, and all of our videos can be accessed on-demand anytime on our website. Here at WCA-TV we not only aim to provide programming to residents, but we also encourage our community to come in and create their own programming. Becoming a member is free and easy, and after just one short orientation session, members gain access to our facility and field equipment. We also offer a variety of production focused workshops that, when completed, will grant even further access to our studio and editing suites. Our goal is to develop content produced primarily by the Watertown community. Our members are free to express themselves in a multitude of ways and are not limited to what they can produce. We are always accepting new members, and there’s nothing we love more than showcasing the diversity of our city through the people that make it so unique.

🎬 That’s a wrap on our second Summer Youth Film Workshop! Over the past two weeks, young Watertown students dove into the world of video production—learning the basics and creating awesome films of their own.

We had a blast working with both returning stars and new faces! 🌟 Next week, we’re rolling out the red carpet for a special student film premiere to celebrate all their hard work.

Huge thanks to the Watertown Cultural Council for making this workshop possible with their generous support.

We’d love to keep the creativity rolling for summers to come—help us make that happen! 💛

The staff at WCA-TV is deeply saddened by the passing of longtime volunteer, host, producer, and friend Bob Kaprielian.

From sharing Watertown’s rich past on “It Was a Very Good Year” , to spotlighting high school athletes on “Coach’s Corner”, to delivering play-by-play commentary for countless WHS games—Bob was a constant voice and presence in our community.

He interviewed local legends, chronicled town traditions, and brought warmth, humor, and curiosity to every show he hosted. Behind the scenes, Bob served on our Board of Directors, championed our studio upgrades, and faithfully stopped by each week—coffee and donuts in hand—to chat with the team.

He helped shape the identity of WCA-TV, leaving behind a legacy we’ll always cherish.
