Hi! I'm Lexie Kirkland, founder of LK Creative Socials, a social media marketing company.

I grew up in a small town in eastern Montana, the kind where the biggest events of the year are harvest and the homecoming football game. Our town was and still is supported by locally owned businesses who show up every day for their community.

"How often should I post on social media?" This is one of the most common questions business owners ask.

My answer to that is this: It depends on the platform.

Instagram is a visual platform, posting three to five times a week with a variety of content times helps get your content on the explore feed.

Facebook's algorithm is designed to handle a variety of content without overwhelming its users. Therefore, making it easier to post more frequently on the platform.

TikTok's algorithm favors accounts that post regularly. Posting frequently increases your chance of your content being shown to a wider audience.

However, always remember quality is better than quantity.
