The nonprofit/foster care/adoption world is in a strange place in terms of funding and money is concerned. Uncertainty over if money that has always been there will still be there, not knowing if yours is the next group to lose money you've always counted on, are all of your people safe from the axe and so on.
With all that in mind, Foster Focus Magazine has LOWERED fees for all services; advertising on the website and in the magazine, consulting and media assistance services, etc.
Times are tough. We all have to keep our lights on and engines running. I'll do my part to help. As always, those of you who wish to do so, may write for the magazine to promote the work you do in article form. As well as anything else anyone wants to write about. Alumni of Care get first crack at pages.
Those not in this field (or in it) that still want to help me do my thing, you can always grab an NFT for the soul. It's my favorite time of year when I get to say Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has signed on for yet another year of advertising in Foster Focus Magazine!!!!!
This makes 9 years in a row! I must be doing something right.
Thanks to Rita, Jill and the whole DTFA team for making sure I always keep getting to do my job.
I'm so fortunate to have this partnership. Now if I could get Wendy's to hook me up with a lifetime of Frostys, I'd be the luckiest former foster kid with a foster care magazine in the world...I'm the only one, but you get it.
Also excited to officially announce Youth Villages as the newest advertiser to grace the pages of the mag!!!!
Have wanted them in the mix since I started and happy welcome them to the Foster Focus Family of advertisers.

It's National Foster Care Month!
I run Foster Focus Magazine and have for over a decade
I give a platform for current and former foster kids to tell their stories while cramming all the foster care and adoption news that I'm fit to print in the pages of the mag.
It's ad driven and there aren't a lot of advertisers in the foster care world.
I came up with a way for EVERYDAY FOLKS to support the work I do.
I've been calling them NFTs for the soul.
They're just social media or printable personalized support ads for the magazine.

Join us in congratulating ANOTHER one of our Aspire youth, an aged out former foster youth, Sierra Burns, on her graduation from Winthrop University today on her Bachelor’s in Psychology! 🎉📚🧠🎓 She will begin working at a girls group home following graduation!
