Interviews are now being scheduled as we dive deeper into the origins, evolution, and enduring legacy of the Iowa Air National Guard. This project is shaping into a powerful historical piece, and we’re excited to capture the stories that built it.

Another story, another honor. 🎥

Cinematographer Adam Welch has been nominated once again for a Midwest Emmy — this time for “The Pope’s Visit to Iowa,” an Iowa PBS documentary exploring one of the most unforgettable chapters in Iowa’s history.

In October 1979, Pope John Paul II made Iowa one of the stops on his inaugural U.S. tour. This film follows the remarkable logistical and spiritual preparation that brought the Pope to the Heartland — and the day that forever marked Iowa’s place in history.
