Drivers in Wisconsin are now required to move over or slow down when approaching disabled vehicles on the side of the road. Governor Tony Evers signed the law today, giving motorists added protection. The law also includes emergency or roadside service vehicles.

“This bill gets us one step closer to zero deaths on Wisconsin’s roads,” WisDOT Secretary Kristina Boardman said. “It sets in stone the respectful action all drivers should already be taking when approaching any vehicle roadside."

Friday, December 12th is the Chamber's 2025 Water Street Lighted Parade - 6PM start time! The theme this year is "O Christmas Tree." Thank you to the 30+ registered floats! And Thank You to our Parade Sponsor Harman Realty!

The parade travels through Decorah's Downtown on Water Street. Start is by Oneota Valley Family Eye Care and the end is at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota.

Forecast Details:
• Snow expected from Saturday afternoon through early Sunday
• Total accumulation between 3 and 5 inches

Impacts:
• Roads may become slippery and travel could be slowed, especially Saturday evening into Sunday morning
