Wood County is closing all snowmobile trails effective Wednesday, Feb. 11 due to deteriorating conditions.
Powers Bluff ski and tube hills are open this weekend and the hills are in good shape. The multi-use trail is open for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and biking. Current trail conditions for the single-track bike trail can be found at www.trailbot.com, or on the trailbot app.
The Nepco Lake County Park multi-use and cross-country ski trails are open, but conditions are deteriorating with warmer weather. The Richfield 360 County Forest multi-use trails are also open but experiencing deteriorating conditions.
County Trail maps can be accessed on the Wood County Parks and Forestry Department website. Check www.woodcountywi.gov/departments/parks/, their Facebook and Instagram pages or Travel Wisconsin for updated opening and closing information.
