The street closure on McKinley St, from 10th Ave N to 14th Ave N, will be extended to the west side of 9th Ave N, due to the street reconstruction project for McKinley St by the City of Wisconsin Rapids, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, September 15, and is expected to re-open at the end of October. Lane closure will occur in the outside (right) eastbound lane of East Riverview Expy at the 8th St S intersection. Also the inside (left) northbound lane and the outside (right) turning lane of 8th St S on the south side of the East Riverview Expy will be closed to through traffic due to concrete street patching by the City of Wisconsin Rapids, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 and is expected to re-open at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Lane Closure is expected in westbound lane of the Grand Avenue Bridge, between 1st Ave S and 2nd St S, due to a concrete patch replacement by the City of Wisconsin Rapids, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4, and is expected to re-open at 6 p.m. the same day. Westbound traffic on Grand Avenue will be detoured, utilizing 3rd Street, Jackson Street, and 3rd Avenue. The eastbound lane on Grand Avenue Bridge will remain open and will operate as usual. Starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, single lane closures will be in effect on 8th St S at the intersection with Wood Ave. This is due to the installation of a new pedestrian crossing by the Wisconsin DOT's contractor. The project is expected to continue until the beginning of October.

A meeting about the WIS 186 project in Wood County is happening! 🛠️ The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public meeting to discuss proposed improvements, including milling and overlaying pavement, widening shoulders, and adding new sidewalks.
