Hey everyone. So many people ask me: “Do you do this full-time?” and “How long have you been DJing for?” Here’s the back story of how I fell into this career. I was playing drums with my band at Pitlik’s Sand Beach Resort back in 2008. My cousin’s fiance at the time, Kristi, cam up to me and said, “you know, we love this band, but we also love the music you’re playing on your iPod during breaks, do you think you could maybe DJ our upcoming wedding?” I said sure, why not. I borrowed my band’s equipment and bought a cheap little mixer, and made a prep-list for Brad & Kristi Pitlik’s wedding. I played music at their wedding, and I absolutely LOVED entertaining the crowd. From there on out, it was word of mouth, to a couple gigs a month, to 4 plus gigs a month and eventually onto full-time work. I absolutely love my job, as it brings happiness and joy to so many. I will always love being a DJ!
