Today, the geocaching community feels a little smaller, and my heart feels a lot heavier. π
We lost more than just a fellow geocacher. We lost a friend, someone who shared in the adventure, the laughter, the stories, and the simple joy of searching for something hidden.
Geocaching brought us together, but friendship made the connection something much more meaningful.
Today, Iβm remembering the adventures of Tim, also known as Merlin1392 and feeling grateful for the times we had. Flagstaff, Fargo/Moorhead, Memphis, Wauseon, and Morgantown were all places we had shared together, along with times in his home state of Michigan. For those who knew him and perhaps tuned in to watch his monthly podcast Challenge Talk, he may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our memories.
Rest in peace, my friend. You will be deeply missed by your friends, family, and fans. Every now and then, I know Iβll find myself out on the trail thinking of you.
Feel free to post any pictures you may have of Merlin1392 in the comments below as we remember him.
