Waushara Argus The Waushara Argus is published weekly on Thursdays, and the Central Wisconsin Resorter is published weekly on Tuesdays.

We are located in the heart of Wisconsin, in Wautoma. Serving Waushara County since 1859, the Waushara Argus is a County Seat weekly newspaper published on Thursdays in broadsheet format. Earlier this summer, Hancock Park Restoration Inc (HPR) was awarded a grant from Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative’s (ACEC) Operation Round-Up program for $2,500 to support electrical upgrades needed at Hancock Park, located on County Road GG on Fish Lake.

On Sept. 1, at approximately 7:45 a.m., the Waushara County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a missing person / welfare check. The missing person was identified as Matthew J. Krause DOB 12/30/83.
The last contact with Matthew was on Aug. 31 at 10:30 p.m, with his last known location to be in the Berlin area. He was due in court for a jury trial as a defendant on Sept. 1 and failed to appear. A warrant was issued through Green Lake County, and he has been listed as a missing person through Waushara County.
Please contact our office with any information as to his whereabouts. Please do not approach if located as he may be armed.
Additional information may be released as it becomes available.

The Redgranite Quarry Committee finalized plans for the upcoming Labor Day weekend. The quarry will open for swimming on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with paid entry.
The park will also reopen for viewing of the annual Labor Day festival fireworks on Sunday evening, Sept. 6.
