On Nov. 11, the Waushara County Tavern League presented a check to the Waushara County Food Pantry Inc. for $16,000 - enough to supply all the holiday meats for November and December. This means that 1400-1600 or more families in the holiday months will receive a turkey or ham thanks to the Waushara County Tavern League. The monthly meeting was held at Good Ol' Boys in Hancock, the newest of the 39 members of the Tavern League. The photo includes: Steve Harris, owner of Good Ol' Boys; Rayne Trangsrud, Moose Inn, secretary of the Tavern League; Kris Gravel, former owner of Coloma Camperland; MaryBeth Harris, owner of Good Ol' Boys; Dan Miller, Miller's Hillside Pub; 'Dogger' Tschurwald, Tavern League vice president, Dogger's Bar & Lanes; Ed Klinger, Moose Inn/KRB, president of Waushara County Tavern League; Tyler Weston, Executive Director of the Waushara County Food Pantry; Mary Kunasch, president of the Pantry board; Aaron Grimm, Grimm's One More & I Gotta Go; Becky Grimm, Grimm's One More & I Gotta Go, treasurer of the Tavern League; and Jack Scimeca, former owner of Lake of the Woods. The Food Pantry is open on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed on Nov. 28 and Dec. 26). While enjoying the holidays, let's take a moment to give thanks to the members of the Waushara County Tavern League for their generous donation, which will supply holiday meats to residents in Waushara County.
