I haven’t shopped on Black Friday since 2015—my daughter was just 3 months old. A big children’s brand announced that the first 50 customers could win up to a $600 gift card.

But listen…
I didn’t hear “up to.”
I heard “you WILL win a $600 gift card.” My brain filled in the rest. 😭

Her dad woke up before sunrise, stood second in line, and I went to relieve him—feeling proud and ready to shop like I had money.

They handed us the cards.
I filled my cart with exactly $600 worth of baby clothes.
Rolled up to the register feeling like a champion.

She rang everything up.
I handed the card.
She said, “Your total is…”
And my heart dropped straight to my toes.

The card was ONLY $50.

I could’ve passed out right there in the baby aisle.

Why didn’t I leave the items?

1. I was too embarrassed.

2. The outfits were too cute.

3. I wasn’t as financially mature as I am today.

Moral of the story: This Black Friday, read the fine print. Protect your coins. 😅

Listen… next to my face, my favorite part of my body is my legs.
My mom used to tell me all the time, “you have nice legs.” After she passed, I made it a priority to take care of them — with my own skincare products, plus leg workouts like squats, calf raises, and what I lovingly call 6:30.

We all have that one body part we love a little extra.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to my skincare, I don’t play.
Especially when it comes to my face.
I practice mindful skincare every single day. 🌿✨

I don’t make products just to earn an income—
I make them to take care of my kids and my own skin first.
When you see me, you see my skin.
And when you see my skin, you see my products. 💛

Wake up and smile today.
Many people didn’t get the chance to open their eyes this morning… but you did.
So declare it: “Today is my day of God’s favor.” 🌞🙏🏽

This morning I learned about the passing of reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, and it touched my heart. His music has carried me through some of my darkest valleys and lifted me in ways I’ll never forget.

“Many Rivers to Cross,” “The Harder They Come,” and “I Can See Clearly Now” , " You Can Get It If You Reall Want and countless others,weren’t just songs…
They were prayers, strength, and motivation when life felt heavy.
Jimmy Cliff reminded us that no matter how difficult the journey, God always makes a way — the rivers, the storms, and the struggles don’t last forever.
So today, I’m choosing gratitude.
I’m choosing clarity.
I’m choosing to walk in God’s favor.
Rest well, Jimmy Cliff.
Your music will continue to heal hearts and inspire generations. 🎶💛
