Happy Birthday to Mr. Jerry, the man who started it all. 🎉Because of your vision, hard work, and heart, Jerry J’s has become more than just a restaurant, it’s a family. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. Thank you for the legacy you’ve built and the example you’ve set.💚

Ware County, Waycross…A view of the post office and courthouse building originally built in 1911. The building was expanded under the supervision of architect James Knox Taylor in the 1930s using funds from the New Deal. Does anyone know the status of the building today?

At Fort King George in Darien, GA...you’ll step into Georgia’s oldest English fort, first built in 1721 to guard the Altamaha River. The reconstructed outpost has a blockhouse, barracks, blacksmith shop, and even a working bakery. The visitor center displays original artifacts and tells the story of settlers, Native tribes, and Scottish Highlanders who later settled here. You can climb the wooden palisade walls, walk trails through marsh and forest, or join the candlelit “Echoes on the Altamaha” tour for a lantern-lit look at the fort’s past.
