Wow..! did my first cord cutting ritual. It was for a family member to cut ties with a toxic, narcissistic family member. Obviously the black candle with the chili pepper around it is the toxic one. Looks like she is trying to reach out with the wax dripping towards the white candle, but the black salt barrier stops her effort, and it seems she will have a much harder time with the separation (typical of a narcissist when they lose their victims). Curious to see how this plays out. What do you guys see?
Curious to know your perspective.

One of the most baffling and infuriating tactics narcissists use is projecting their bad behaviour onto you. This means they’ll accuse you of the very things they are guilty of, effectively putting you on trial for their crimes. Why do they do this? To shift focus, deflect blame, and maintain control.

Projection is one of a narcissist’s favourite tools. Let’s say they’ve been unfaithful in a relationship. Instead of admitting their betrayal, they might accuse you of being untrustworthy or overly secretive. By putting you on the defensive, they keep you too busy justifying yourself to notice their wrongdoing.

This tactic serves several purposes. First, it diverts attention away from their behaviour. If you’re busy defending yourself, you’re not questioning their actions. Second, it reinforces their narrative that they are the victim and you are the problem. Narcissists thrive on being perceived as innocent and wronged, even when they’re the perpetrator.

Over time, this pattern can leave you doubting your reality, apologising for things you didn’t do, and walking on eggshells to avoid further accusations. The key to breaking free is recognising the projection for what it is: a manipulative tactic to control you. Stay grounded, trust your instincts, and refuse to be put on trial for someone else’s misdeeds.

What You Can’t Have With a Narcissist
Being involved with a narcissist is exhausting, confusing, and often painful. It’s not just about arguments or disagreements—it’s about what you lose while trying to survive in their world.
A narcissist doesn’t allow space for real friendships. They belittle your opinions, making you second-guess even your simplest thoughts. Feeling safe around them is impossible—they thrive on control, fear, and uncertainty. Trust? Comfort? True love? These are illusions in a narcissist’s world.
The most dangerous thing is losing yourself. Over time, their manipulation can make you forget who you really are. Your inner peace disappears, replaced by constant anxiety and self-doubt. Even your perception of reality can be distorted, as gaslighting makes you question memories and feelings.
A narcissist will also block your growth. Reaching your true potential is difficult when someone is constantly undermining your confidence and choices.
The first step to reclaiming your life is recognising the truth: you cannot have these things with a narcissist, and that’s not a failure on your part. Protect your mind, heart, and freedom. You deserve real love, respect, and peace—things a narcissist can never give.
