Go easy on the comments, folks. I'm still partial to the one we used in the 60s and 70s, but at least the new one is unique to WHS!
We've been working on something! While our district values, mission, and 3Rs and 3Cs are the same, we're introducing a new Spartan brand mark that honors our past and looks ahead. This mark reflects who we are today—grounded in our history and driven by progress.
Why the change?
Our current Spartan logo was borrowed from two college designs, which means it’s never been fully ours. This new design is 100% ours. Our story deserves its own identity.
What’s new?
You’ll notice a forward-facing Spartan, symbolizing a forward-thinking organization that is future-focused, innovative, and committed to progress. A distinctive “W” is woven into the design, representing Waynesville and Wayne Local, setting us apart from other Spartan logos while reinforcing our identity.
Why now?
We know clarity builds connection. For our district, connection is foundational. It strengthens RELATIONSHIPS and fuels Spartan pride.
This is the ⭐first time in district history that our Spartan design is original, created exclusively for Wayne Local Schools, and THAT'S SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!🧡🤍🖤
