Remembering a life well-lived... and thankful that the Spartan Marching Band got to recognize its first director last month. Rest in peace, Ray Davis.

An event to remember... the WHS Marching Band serenades its first director, 99-year-old Ray Davis... outside Quaker Heights this afternoon.

Facebook wouldn't allow me to combine pictures and video in a post, so video of the fight song is in the comments.

This is VERY exciting, and you are invited to attend... several community groups have made a joint contribution to the Spartan Marching Band, which will kick off its fundraising march across town at Quaker Heights this Sunday, August 16 at 5:00 pm. The guest conductor will be soon-to-be 99-year-old Ray Davis, the very first WHS Marching Band Director!
