My first-ever official ✨BOOK MAIL✨ and honestly, this one feels extra special.

kay hartley sent me this package after I had the absolute joy of narrating the dual audiobook edition of Changing Trajectory. So naturally, I had to film the unboxing.

There is something very surreal about going from reading a manuscript in a recording booth to holding the finished book and goodies in your hands.

Thank you, Kay, for trusting me with your characters, your story, and now for making my first official Book Mail such a fun one. 💕

For the books, yes. But also for the winding roads, the tiny pubs, the sea, the stories, the people we never expected to meet or miss already, and the memories we didn’t know we were coming here to make. 🖤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Turns out was about a whole lot more than books.

Somebody tucked a tiny flower into this book more than a century ago, signed her name in April 1919, and somehow it waited there all this time for me to find it.

This is why I will never stop checking the pages of old books. 🌼📖

A completely unbiased review of Scotland: excellent people, excellent books, exceptional dogs. 🐶📚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We kept a daily tally of people that came in to visit us at The Open Book but we kept a visual log of the good girls and good boys that came with them.

10/10 to bookstore dog visits. No notes. Would pet again.
