At 14 years old, he figured out how to turn something ordinary into something people wanted.

He sold his first creations for $13 a piece, and without knowing it, laid the foundation for Texas Hide Works and of course the storefront we all know and love today, Chief’s Trading Post.

They don’t see the plate of stones it started with.
The ideas sketched out in someone’s head.
The hours spent stamping, soldering, shaping silver by hand.

Before I ever show up with a camera, this is where it starts.

Coffee, notes, a laptop, and a whole lot of intention.

I don’t go into interviews winging it. I take time to learn who someone is, where they’ve been, and what they’ve built… because sharing your story is personal.

These aren’t just questions on a page.
They’re real lives, real work, real legacies.

Showing up prepared is the least I can do for someone who trusts me with their story. ❤️

When you reach your final days, what do you want to be remembered for?

Character? Compassion? Grit? Determination?

That was Corky. Despite some profound heartbreak throughout his life, he always bounced back and forged ahead. He left imprints on so many that will last a lifetime.

In the end, Corky Warren lived a life he truly loved and it showed.

May we all be inspired by his story and aim to have the opportunity to say the same at the end of our own years on this beautiful earth.
