Mama’s gotten maybe five kisses from Bane since adopting him… and a few of those are questionable. Was it a kiss, or did she just have something interesting on her face? 😂

But this morning was different. 🥹

Mama was sitting on the cushion they share when Bane came over to join her. Instead of lying down, he walked right up to her, put his face close to hers, paused, and stared into her eyes. 👀

And then… SLURP. 👅 One big, powerful lick right across her cheek.

Then he immediately turned around and laid down pressed against her like, “Gotcha. Bye.” 😂 Or maybe, “I hope that was okay… that was kind of embarrassing. I’ll just sit right here now.” 🤔

Either way, mama’s heart melted. 💙

His tongue came out SO fast, with an impressive amount of power and slobber. Very different from my sweet, slow, passionate kisses. Mama said it probably was like watching a lizard catch a fly. 🦎😜🪰

Something tells me she’s going to remember that big ol’ slobbery surprise forever. 😘

I got to visit mama’s work after hours the other week, and you could say I was pretty excited about it. 🤩

It had been a while since I’d been there, so there were LOTS of sniffs to catch up on—inside and out.

I may not love the car ride to get there, but take me somewhere I can explore and I’m one happy boy.

Back in December, Bane and I wrote our letters to Chewy Claus. 🎅🐾

Bane’s biggest wish was a pretty big one… a cure for his cancer. He knew that might be a little outside of Chewy Claus’ workshop, so treats were next on his list. 😉

8 months later, Chewy Claus is vacationing at the South Pole while Bane is over here living his best life with us and still going strong. 💙

His Summer Report Card still needs to be filled out, but I’d say he’s definitely on the nice list and deserves ALL the treats… and I’ll take the toys. 😜

Thank you Chewy for the sweetest surprise! We hope we get to write to Chewy Claus together again this Christmas. 🤞🎄🐾

If you know Bane, you know he loves exploring outside… especially sticking his whole head into a bush or peeking around a tree.

So combine one of his favorite things with some mama time, and you’ve got one pretty happy Bane. 🥰

When we first adopted him, pictures were definitely NOT his thing. Honestly, neither were phones in general… and don’t even get him started on phone calls.

He’s gotten a lot better with the whole picture concept over the past year, though. Mama just has to follow one important rule: be quick! 😆

She forgot to take one thing into consideration…

Bane takes some pretty deep breaths. 😅

Needless to say, the fin lasted about a second on his back, so she tried his head instead.

Bane wasn’t a fan of that idea either. The second it came off, he happily whacked it to the floor and confidently put his paw on it like, “Yep… that’s where it belongs.” 😂

He didn’t mind modeling with it off to the side though.
