No sir...

Well seasoned in the game at this point and so are they.
I dont think we could ever live any other way.
Its exhausting but, it should be...

Changing generational trauma, changing home structure norms, teaching things I wasn't taught, building something without a blueprint, mothering while holding the weight on a small business, teaching young kids business while singing in the car.. Im exactly where I hoped I would be at this point.

Sunday costco run in the Texas heat is not a easy task.

Me : Can you cut a giant hole in this wall and put in a glass door because I want more light in the house?

Him : Yeah thats easy.

Marketplace : I have a free sliding glass door.

If you are an Auntie, you are blessed and so so valuable.
As Auntie, we hold a different space for the little ones of our sisters, cousins, best friends... a sacred space only we can fill.

We are a safety net.

We become a place they feel understood. We get to find ways to make life lighter for them. We get to be a place they explore freedoms and individuality. We get to laugh at them and with them without hurting them. We get to laugh at mom and dad for being grouchy. We get to give insight that gets through to them as they get older. We get to tell them what mom really used to be like as a kid.... šŸ§”

We get to love them without the stress of being Mom....

As a mom I can tell you how important it has been to have Aunties to step in and love my kids...

As a women having Aunties who stepped in and loved me...

And as a Auntie who has had to stepped in in some very big ways... I know this space, and it is sacred...
