“GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!”

Caleb was 85 years old. He had waited 40 years, endured disappointments, witnessed the failures of others, and still faced giants.

But his faith remained strong.

Child of God, don’t be discouraged. Don’t be defeated. Be patient. Persevere. Strengthen your heart and keep believing God.

“For the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”

🚨 NEW BIBLICAL ALERT: “TATTOO MY EYE?” 👁️

Tattoos are everywhere today, but what about Christians?

An ordinary trip to the ophthalmologist raised a much bigger question:

What does the Bible say about tattoos, markings on the body, and the Christian's responsibility to glorify God in the body?

📖 In today's Biblical Alert, we consider Leviticus 19:28, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, and 1 Corinthians 3:16–17.

Are we allowing the culture to shape our convictions, or the Word of God?

👁️ An eye appointment turned into a Gospel opportunity!

Because Bell’s palsy affected my left eye, causing drooping and problems with normal blinking, my yearly eye examination is important. But this visit was about more than getting my eyes checked.

I brought along some special Semiquincentennial John & Romans booklets and was able to give four of them to people at the eye doctor’s office. 🇺🇸📖

And it all brought to mind one simple but powerful word from Jude 17: REMEMBER.

We try to remember appointments, birthdays, anniversaries, and special days, but are we remembering what God has told us?

Remember God’s Word. Build up your faith. Pray. Keep yourself in the love of God. And don’t forget to serve the Gospel!

🙏 ASK FOR COUNSEL | The Voice in the Wilderness

In troubled and uncertain times, where do we turn?

We pray for the people of Venezuela. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and throughout the Middle East. We pray for our families, our marriages, our churches, and our nation.

Prayer is a powerful weapon. We take up the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation, praying always and seeking wisdom and understanding from God and His Word.

Israel learned a difficult lesson when they failed to ask counsel of the Lord. May we not make the same mistake. The choices and decisions we make today matter. Before we move forward, let us seek the counsel of Almighty God.

📖 THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW

Are we teaching the next generation the truth of God’s Word?

In a world filled with confusion and competing voices, parents, pastors, Sunday school teachers, and church leaders have a tremendous responsibility to point young people to the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said:

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Matthew 7:14

Jesus is not simply one of many ways. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

🎙️ Listen to The Voice in the Wilderness as we challenge believers to remember the sacrifices of previous generations, stand firmly upon biblical truth, teach the next generation, and walk the straight and narrow way.

WNC Mountain State Fair presents a wonderful opportunity to share Christ with fair goers. We all had the privilege this year to once again partner with Amazing Grace at their booth. Ronnie Williamson led two precious young teens to Christ as their school teacher waited - Amen! Bro. Jackson and all who have volunteered have seen over 100 decisions made for Christ. Praise the Lord for those willing to receive literature and listen to the Gospel presentation. As the fair wrapped up last night, the Lilly family gave out nearly 200 GO250 booklets and one family came to listen to the Gospel message just as they were leaving. People are truly searching. You can reach someone today! We just shipped out two boxes that will be distributed at a car show this coming weekend. Wherever you go, share Jesus! Steve N Rebekah Lilly

You GO to be a blessing...to be used of the Lord...BUT, really, it is you who came away blessed and taught by the Lord. Listen to what God did during GO250 Mission to NYC. Especially take note of the prayer requests from the Gibsons.

WE THE PEOPLE TATTOO | Today’s Biblical Alert

A simple Constitution Day visit turned into an unexpected opportunity to witness.

When a customer noticed my “We the People” cap, he proudly showed me an impressive We the People tattoo covering his forearm. He professed Christ and that opened the door to a much bigger conversation.

In this episode of Today’s Biblical Alert, we consider what Scripture says about tattoos and, more importantly, about our bodies belonging to God.

📖 Leviticus 19:28
📖 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

It was an opportunity to witness, and folks in that little shop were listening.

As Constitution Week reminds us of the blessings and responsibilities of American citizenship, may we never forget an even greater truth: those who belong to Christ have a higher citizenship and are called to walk as children of light.
