The August meeting of the Hamilton County Conservation Board will be held Thursday, August 28th at 9:30 a.m. at the Conservation Office in Briggs Woods Park south of Webster City. The board will review park projects and wildlife habitat state grant funds. There will be a superintendent grounds report from Briggs Woods Golf Course. Conservation director Brian Lammers will have his update on what is happening in the parks and recreation areas of Hamilton County plus other matters that may come before the board.

The Webster City Park and Recreation Commission will meet Thursday afternoon at 5:15 in the Sampson Room of the Fuller Hall Recreation Center. Webster City's Wednesday afternoon high made it to 84 degrees with lots of sunshine. We could be in some for fog arriving by overnight with lows by morning with lows by morning in the low 60s. Thursday looks to be a repeat performance with highs in the lower 80s. The weather looks to be pleasant for the next to last Market Night tomorrow evening with lows to be again in the lower 60s. Friday could be a wet one to end the work week with highs in the lower 80s. Friday night could dampen some of the football scrimmages and lows of around 60. Please join us in welcoming Deputy Jesse Klein to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office!

Jesse brings valuable experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to serving our community. He’s a Navy veteran which proves his long desire to serve his fellow men and women. He is from rural Ellsworth and currently is active in the South Hamilton wrestling program. We’re excited to have him on our team and look forward to the positive impact he will make in Hamilton County.

He will be going to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in September. Until then, he will be out and about with various deputies; if you see him, please welcome him!
