Hmmmmmm... we're keeping an eye on this possible development.

Yes: Iowa has the most unpredictable weather in the country. Therefore, August 14 could turn out to be another beautiful evening for the Webster City Garden Party. But sadly, if it's raining, we'll have to cancel the Garden Party. We just won't know until the morning of.

Summary:
Today Through Wednesday - several rounds of storms, some severe, and hot and humid conditions with heat indices near 100 degrees in southern to portions of central Iowa.
Details:
There is a slight (level 2 of 5) risk in northwest Iowa overnight tonight into Tuesday morning (~12a-8a) for severe storms with damaging wind gusts the primary threat, though isolated instances of large hail or pockets of heavy rain are also possible.
The active week will continue with additional storm chances Tuesday night and Wednesday night. It will not be a wash out any day through midweek, and some locations will likely stay dry. Each day’s threat is somewhat dependent on the last so hazard location, timing, and threats may still change! Monitor the forecast for updates.
Temperatures will be in the 80s north to 90s south with heat indices nearing 100 degrees in southern to portions of central Iowa through Wednesday. Wildfire smoke will also keep skies hazy through at least midweek

Hamilton County Supervisors set for meeting this Tuesday,August 11th.

Webster City- The next meeting for the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors is set for this Tuesday morning, August 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the downstairs conference room of the Hamilton County Courthouse in Webster City. The board will review the Hamilton County Bridge Inspection and Rating Program for 2027 and 2028. After a Sunday high temperature reading of 83 degrees on Radio Hill Webster City, it is 68 degrees as of 4:40 a.m. on this Monday morning. The next 7 days look to be on the unsettled side when it comes to Webster City weather. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms for today with highs in the mid 80s. It will be on the humid side for the week ahead. More showers and thunderstorms expected for later tonight with a low in the upper 60s. Fort Dodge Police investigate Saturday night stabbing.

Fort Dodge-Police in Fort Dodge continue with their investigation of a Saturday night stabbing outside the Star Convenience Store at 1601 Fifth Avenue South shortly before 11:00 p.m. When authorities arrived, they located 18-year-old Dawson D. Skoland Rattway of Fort Dodge, suffering from a laceration to his right arm. Witnesses on the scene advised that the suspect had fled prior to the arrival of the officers....
