My client wanted a vibrant vivid color that also covered her grays without using bleach or lightener. We settled on this beautiful magenta. Its been 6 months since her last haircut and also requested her curls shaped without losing too much length.🫶🏽

This is my new clients hair and her first appointment with me! She has lots of heat damage but is not ready to big chop and start over and that’s ok! The goal is to eventually wear her natural curls without straightening which is her normal day to day style. Our plan is 2 appointments per month. One silk press and one natural style such as twist outs and flexi-rod sets. Will continuing to get silk presses be counter productive of her goal? It depends on who is doing the silk press service! I do everything I can to protect my clients hair from the heat so all my silk press clients can go back and forth from straight back to natural. 💜

Can relaxed hair curl again? That was my client’s hope! This job was not for the weak! My client had A LOT of beautiful thick and coarse hair! So what did I do to achieve this result?

1. I removed A-LOT of weight in the hair using several cutting techniques to remove the bulk.
2. I added layers to remove the “triangle”🔺and rounded the silhouette.
3. I used a bonding treatment and moisture mask to hydrate, strengthen, and help the hair “remember” its curl potential.
4. This part is very important. 👁️🤞🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 🫣🫣
5. I used a light gel and foam that wouldn’t weigh the hair down.
6. I diffused the hair until it was completely dry. Big tip right here!

I truly enjoyed this transformation on my new client! Unfortunately she had a horrible experience recently somewhere else that left her hair broken, fried, and straightened out most of her curls. I think one of the biggest blessing being in the beauty industry as long as I have is watching these babies grow and blossom! She was 6 the first time I did her hair and now she’s the big 12! I’ll blink twice and she’ll be going to her high school prom! 😢
