A report and recommendation from the Planning Commission is expected to be presented to the Town Council tonight. (Sept 1)

Our understanding of the Wedowee Zoning Ordinances is there will not be a vote tonight but a public hearing will be scheduled.

Attending local meetings is one of the best ways to stay informed on town business, local utility updates, and upcoming community projects. All public residents are welcome to attend.

Boondocks BBQ & Creamery is currently interviewing for kitchen team member positions. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, complete tasks quickly and accurately, can handle fast paced environments and able to work well on a team.

Our kitchen hours start at 7am with our business hours being 11am to 8pm Thursday, Friday & Saturday; Sunday 11am to 6pm.

Our team members currently earn $14+ /hr. Previous restaurant or food handling experience preferred but not required as we provide training.

We Are Not Against Growth — We Are Against the Wrong Location

Wedowee can grow while still protecting neighborhoods, existing businesses, and residential areas.

The proposed rezoning of the residential property behind Benefield Funeral Home, Our Town Pharmacy, and NAPA, and next to Crystal Cove Subdivision, raises serious concerns about location, traffic, compatibility, and impact on nearby property owners.
