Little piece of paradise on the Stikine River in Alaska. Small solar array with enough battery storage to run the inverter for a few days without cranking the generator. Water catchment off the roof. Boat access only so it took a few trips to build it. River freezes up in the winter so no access from about December through March unless you do some serious trekking . Deer and moose pop up in the game cams pretty often, fun spot!

Bought this a few years ago along a river in MS, we use it on the weekends. The water comes from the river though a filtration system, toilet is on a septic system and the power is from the electric company but this is as close to off grid as we can get at the moment. The sheds are both 10X10 and one we fashioned into a bathroom the other our kitchen and the camper is for sleeping in. It’s been totally gutted and we only have beds inside. We can sleep as many as 10 people comfortably.

Last November, for my son's 21st birthday, we had an unforgettable trip to Iceland, renting a Toyota Rav 4, traveling without a plan, and car camping with my back packing gear, our trip was highlighted by a magical night under the Northern Lights! We slept under the Northern Lights! Over the course of 8 days we circled the island. My heart was in complete bliss. Car camping helped the budget and added to the adventure!

Been busy over the last couple of weeks getting my van ready for summer put a door on my kitchen unit, replaced one of the cupboard doors that was warped then gave the whole lot a fresh coat of paint, also picked up my bed from the upholstery shop today love it time to put everything back in now. 😊

Hey guys! So I've always been a fan of car camping! I love the solitude, the adventure and being TOTALLY FREE! Recent situations have led me to try it out and possibly long term😟.. any tips, pointers, etc? I have a 2016 JEEP Grand Cherokee Overland.. so far I've purchased a sub zero sleeping bag, car adapter electric blanket, a self inflating cargo mat, pillow, I currently use the vehicles stock electrical outlets, but would like recommendations on a better power supply if possible🤷🏾‍♂️ Thanks guys.. Not going to lie, the stealth Rubicon setup is a total sleeper but when you want to stretch your legs, especially in the dead of winter, the Pomoly HexPlus Hot Tent is the way!!! Throw in a titanium flat pack stop, tent and stove weigh in at 15lbs, now we’re talking backpacking… yes please thank me later!!

My 2015 Toyota Sienna, built this with the intention of going to see my sister in Florida who needed some help after her husbands passing and hit by Milton. For the kitchen I used a kids storage system from IKEA , added wood that drops for kitchen prep, have a 3.5 gallon fresh water jug, with flip USB water facet, bed it 8” mattress from Amazon, cut down, to measure 32”X70”, very comfortable and I can sit up with room to spare, window covers I made my self, added roof storage and awning from Amazon, cooler is also Amazon plenty of room for one, have an office space as I work remotely, have Eco Delta 2 I think it’s 1000 watts on sale for $499, I have plenty of ways to prepare meals easy, mini cooker, butane stove, It took me about six weeks had some help from my sister, I have carpal tunnel, so hand strength can be an issue at times. It’s completely finished and I love this build❤️😊🎉wanted to address clothes storage are in the IKEA pillow covers, it was perfect😊
