Touch a Truck 2026! The services for the Town of Carlisle are coming together for a Touch a Truck event. The Carlisle Department of Public Works, the Carlisle Police Department, and the Carlisle Fire Department will be gathering their various vehicles at the Carlisle School Plaza (83 School Street) from 10AM-2PM on August 30th, 2026. Expect to meet many of the employees, tour the vehicles, enjoy the playground, and have a fun day! We look forward to seeing everyone there!

P.S. There may even be some surprise guests.

Framingham Youth Hockey is proud to once again host the Bruins Academy in 2026. For only $225 your child gets a full set of hockey equipment and four weeks of on-ice instruction. The program is only open to ages 5-9 who haven't played hockey before. See the FYHP website for more details.

Do you have a story worth telling?

Every mom has a story — the funny ones, the hard-won lessons, the moments worth celebrating (and the ones worth venting about). We're looking for local moms with distinct voices and real experiences to join our contributor team and share them with our community.

MetroWest Mom is building our team of contributors who reflect the full range of motherhood in our area — different backgrounds, different family structures, different seasons of life. If you have something to say, we want to help you say it. ESPECIALLY if you haven't seen your perspective in our content yet!

This is a volunteer role, and no writing background required. We're simply looking for local moms who love to write, care about their community, and want to connect with other parents through honest storytelling.

Black Door Yoga offers Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Restorative, and Prenatal yoga in Hopkinton, MA (not hot yoga). Breath-first yoga classes that are designed for busy people who are stressed, sore, and overdue for an hour to themselves. Classes are small (capped at 12 yogis) and great for all levels of yoga experience.

Most people come in to Black Door Yoga looking for flexibility or a low-impact workout. What they experience is an hour that genuinely resets their nervous system, feeling calmer and more like themselves than when they arrived.

I grew up going to this location, so to me, this feels like the original one. It’s got a small town vibe and is a great spot for a low key afternoon activity. The ice cream is great. Parking is easy and plentiful. There are animals and grass to run around. And shade. You know I love the shade 😂

If you haven’t been to Erikson's Ice Cream in Maynard, add it to your list. The ice cream is one of the best around, with a whole bunch of fun flavors and concoctions. I’ll be back again soon to try their new ice cream nachos!
