Life - it's truly amazing.

This was a first for me. Since 2 babies hatched this morning, I've kept a close eye on the remaining eggs. Well, to my surprise, this one had just started pipping! So I held it as it hatched 😲🥹😍 so incredible to watch.

Since Dottie has not been a good mama hen, besides just sitting on eggs, I want to make sure I get the chicks out right away after they hatch. She has pecked 3 or 4 to death. Chickens are weird.

🐣Dottie hatched another 2 chicks, 4 eggs left to go! Now my brooder is a mix of 2 newbies, a week old chick and a handful that are between 2 ‐ 4 weeks... what a mix! But everyone seems content.

We have a couple young roos that will be looking for new homes otherwise they'll go to freezer camp!

We officially have 1 empty freezer! Besides that 1 package of pork chops that is frozen to the bottom 😆
Time for a thaw and deep clean before we fill this up in just a few more months!
Although we are out of a few cuts of meat we still have plenty of sausage, bacon, pork chops, pork belly, and roasts for you to enjoy!! 🤤🥓

👀 We MIGHT do another sale next weekend at the market, check in for updates soon!
