Cashmere Library is hosting a twice-monthly access point for housing support, giving local residents a place to connect with resources and assistance.

On the second and fourth Wednesdays each month, staff from the Homeless Housing Network meet with individuals facing housing instability and help connect them with programs, documentation support and other available services across Chelan and Douglas counties.

The next session is April 22 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., with a bilingual coordinator available.

Officials say the goal is to make it easier for people to access help in one place instead of navigating multiple agencies.

Entiat residents have a chance to help shape the future of local parks and recreation.

As plans move forward for a new playground expected to open in October 2026, the city is seeking applicants for its Park & Community Services Advisory Board. Members help guide decisions on parks, trails, recreation programs and community gathering spaces.

City leaders are also asking for public ideas on the new playground, including slides, swings, climbing features and other amenities families would like to see.

Applicants must live in the Entiat Valley and submit a letter of interest.
