The Road Giveth, And The Road Taketh

We always have a general outline of the sites we will hit on each roadtrip. Yet, You never truly know what you will stumble upon. The planned highway may be closed, or GPS may take you down an unexpected turn. We are always open for supplemental adventure, so we constantly scan the horizon for telltale signs of abandonment or recognizable shapes in the distance. After a short time, identifying these structures from afar becomes second nature!

This is so amazing! This anime is in my top 3 favorite movies of all time! Yet, I would be here for this AI version of the flick. Or a live action remake. Again, it'll never take anything from the anime, but HOT DAYUM, that "live action- AI" version is fire. Even if it took 40000 gallons of water to make or whatever

Intact Would’ve Been Better, But

Since we don’t break into places, our entry points are usually made for us. Relying on this method can make us miss some sites. We can get lucky or miss our entry by weeks. Even though not much remained, we were still able to stroll through a tiny bit of what remained of this old church. It had been on our radar for awhile, but with no luck. Beef climbed the scaffold and made his entry through the opening in the wall! Sadly there wasn’t more, but that Cream City brick was eyecatching.

Paid Tour Or Not, Adventure Is Everywhere

We couldn’t stop roaming the cellblocks in The Old Joliet Prison. The peely paint kept drawing us further into each cellblock and cell. This abandoned prison turned into a tourist attraction keeps us coming back. The cost of the tour is reasonable and you can free roam a number of different buildings. They occasionally open other buildings too. Find someone that is interested in the same things you are, and the grins keep coming.
