A Message to Our Community
Over the past few days, many of you have reached out with the same question: What happens now? As you may have heard, a sweeping h**p ban was quietly tucked into the new federal spending bill. It wasn’t debated openly, it wasn’t voted on as its own issue, and it wasn’t given the transparency something this impactful deserves. It was attached to the bill needed to reopen the government, and with a single signature, millions of Americans suddenly found their livelihoods and their medicine placed on a 12-month countdown.
We want to speak honestly about what this means.
Smokey Bear H**p Co. is a small, family-owned business built by regular people with American values and a deep understanding of what we do. For us, h**p has never been “just a product.” It’s not a drug in the way some like to label it. To us—and to so many of you—it’s medicine. It’s relief. It’s access. It’s an alternative that to***co, alcohol, and pharmaceutical giants would much prefer the public not have.
Not everyone uses h**p. Not everyone needs THCA, THC, or CBD. And that’s fine. Not everyone drinks. Not everyone smokes ci******es. Not everyone takes pills, not everyone likes caffeine, some people dont eat meat, or do half the wild things people do to cope or feel alive. Everyone has something. And for millions of Americans, this is their something.

Some synthetic cannabinoids might eventually prove harmless, but right now, with so little research and so many of them resembling research chemicals more than plant compounds, we can’t pretend they’re safe. A lot of them simply aren’t.

Our hope is that through collective effort, public pressure, and undeniable evidence, this ban can be reversed before it destroys an entire American industry.
Families depend on this work. States depend on this revenue. People with medical conditions depend on this access. This isn’t about money… but at the same time, it absolutely is about money, and everyone knows it. That’s what makes this so wrong.
A Message to Anyone Who Loves This Industry
We want to speak directly to anyone who cares deeply about the h**p business. If you fight with everything you have, you reach out to every office you can, and still no one in your state feels compelled to protect the h**p community, then you deserve to take your business and your passion somewhere they’re respected. No one should be expected to pour their heart, labor, and tax dollars into a place that refuses to value them.
Loyalty to your home is admirable. Staying and fighting is powerful. But continuing to financially support a place that openly works against you only strengthens the forces trying to erase this industry. Everyone deserves to live, work, and build in a place that appreciates what they bring to the table.
