"Despite being on a college campus, most of those we interviewed were not students. The largest demographics at the protest included older people and disabled people expressing their concerns. There were many special speakers, including our beloved West Chester alumnus and Senator Carolyn Committa, who stressed the importance of voting to make a change and stood with the West Chester people during their time of need, taking a public stance against Trump."

"Students across Pennsylvania are experiencing similar detainment or deportation nightmares. At the beginning of April, a Temple University student was forced to 'self-deport' after having their student visa revoked by US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and only a few days later, three University of Pennsylvania students also lost their visas. Both Temple and UPenn released statements to their communities following these incidents. WCU students and faculty who are aware of this situation are pointing out that our administration has remained silent on this situation."

"Trump has repeatedly called all form of pro-Palestinian protest 'anti-Semitic' and 'Hamas sympathizers.' This is obviously a huge mischaracterization of what the protests are about, which is the ability for Palestinians to have their own land without having to worry about being bombed or shot by IDF soldiers. By painting this with such broad, inaccurate and negative strokes, the Trump administration can change the perspective among the common American and deem it worthy of arrest."
